Get help
Write to hello@frapea.com. A person reads every message. Tell us what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead; a screenshot helps.
In the editor, Help → Report a Problem… sends a report straight from the app, and Problems → Create bug report prepares one you can read before you send it.
Connect Frapea to your AI
Frapea is a video editor that runs in your browser. AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT connect to it as a remote MCP server:
- Add https://app.frapea.com/mcp to your assistant as a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP, no API key).
- Open app.frapea.com, click Connect your AI and give your assistant the eight-character code it shows. You can also just ask the assistant to connect: it sends you a link to accept.
- Step-by-step guides for each assistant: frapea.com/connect. What the assistant can do: frapea.com/mcp.
Try it without your own footage
In a new project, click No footage at hand? Try sample media in the empty Library: it adds a short talking clip, a b-roll shot, a photo and a music bed. Your assistant can do the same with its `add_sample_media` tool. Then ask it to caption the talk, take out the pauses, cut the b-roll over it and put the music underneath.
You can also start from nothing: ask for "a 15-second animated title video about our product launch, with sound effects" and it builds that from motion graphics, text and Frapea's built-in sound effects.
What your assistant can see
- Your footage never leaves your computer. The editor reads it inside your browser; the assistant gets only what its tools return, such as the timeline's structure, transcripts and frames it asks to inspect.
- Every action the assistant takes happens in your own editor tab, and you can undo it there.
- Stock media, sounds and premium voiceover use your own Pexels, Freesound and ElevenLabs keys. You add them in the editor yourself; the assistant can never see or set them.
Disconnect an assistant
In the editor, open Connect your AI and disconnect the session, or remove the Frapea server from your assistant's settings. A code is single-use and expires after ten minutes; a connection lasts until you disconnect it.
Common questions
- "Editor offline" or "not connected". Your assistant works through your open Frapea tab. Open app.frapea.com, keep the tab open, and connect again with a new code.
- Which browsers work? A recent Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc or another Chromium-based browser on a desktop or laptop.
- Stock or voiceover doesn't work. Add your own key in the editor under Library → Generators. Your assistant will tell you when one is missing.
- Delete my data. Your projects live on your computer; deleting them there removes them. To delete anything we hold about you, write to hello@frapea.com.
