Claude.ai can cut your video.

No terminal and nothing to install on either side — two browser tabs, one holding the footage and one holding the agent.

Setup takes a minute: add the server, then pair with the code in the editor header. After that Claude.ai has all 59 tools.

Setup

Add Frapea to Claude.ai

  1. 1

    Add Frapea as a connector

In claude.ai, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the Frapea URL. There is no config file to edit and no key to paste — the URL is the whole setup.
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
    https://app.frapea.com/mcp
  2. 2

Turn it on in the conversation

Connectors are per-conversation. Open the tools menu under the message box and switch Frapea on, or the model will not see the tools and will tell you it cannot edit video.
  3. 3

    Keep the editor tab open

Frapea runs in your browser, so the tab holding your project is the thing doing the work. Close it and the agent loses the editor mid-edit.

Then, the same for every client

Pair Claude.ai with the editor

  1. 1Open the editor and click Connect an agent in the header. It shows an eight-character code.
  2. 2Paste the whole line into Claude.ai — the sentence, not just the code. It tells the agent which tool to call.
  3. 3Good for ten minutes, and once. If it has expired, read a fresh one.

Nothing to sign up for, and no API key on either side. The endpoint is https://app.frapea.com/mcp.

When it doesn't take

Two things go wrong, and it is almost always one of them.

1Claude says it has no video tools
The connector exists but is off for this conversation. Toggle Frapea on in the tools menu under the message box — the setting does not carry over from an older chat.
2Every call comes back saying the editor is not reachable
The Frapea tab was closed or reloaded, which drops the pairing. Reopen the project, read a fresh code from “Connect an agent”, and hand it over again.

Using something else?

Any client that speaks MCP can drive Frapea. These are written out.
